Diabetic Club of Rangpur Community Medical College Hospital was inaugurated and established its convoy against diabetes on 25th December 2016 in the premises of RCMCH with the motto of Starting a balanced diet from the morning meal. The honourable Mayor of Rongpur City Corporation (RCC) and valiant freedom fighter, Alhaj Sharfuddin Ahmed Jhontu along with the honourable State Minister of Local Government, Rural Development & Co-operatives, Alhaj Moshiur Rahman Ranga were invited by our honourable chairman Nilu ahasan and managing director Md. Nazmul Ahasan of Rangpur Group to inaugurate the beginning of RCMCH Diabetic Club. In this event, Rangpur District Commissioner Md. Rahat Anowar and Superintendent of Police Md. Mizanur Rahman were also present along with the principal of Rangpur Medical College Animesh Mozumder and our authorities of RCMCH and Rangpur Group. Diabetic Club of RCMCH established to provide and maintain proper medical care to the diabetes patients and to raise public awareness. Free diabetes tests and check-ups for glucose were provided at the event premises and celebrated the inauguration of this club and its initiative. Later a discussion was held at Diabetic club at RCMCH. Our chairman Nilu Ahasan wished success of all programmes arranged to establish the inception of diabetic club in RCMCH. Honourable State Minister of Local Government, Rural Development & Co-operatives, Alhaj Moshiur Rahman Ranga stressed the need for creating awareness to prevent diabetes. He also said diabetes is a chronic disease but living a healthy and normal life is possible by controlling it.
